Helping out at school is a great way to get involved in your child’s education as well as get to know the staff and other parents and carers.
Research shows that children benefit when their parents or carers are actively involved in their education and school life.
You can help by:
- listening to children read in the classroom
- volunteering on sports days
- helping supervise excursions
- getting involved in fundraising activities
- joining school committees.
It is a Department of Education requirement that a Declaration be completed by any parent or carer etc. that will be volunteering to work with the children at our school. The declaration is valid for 5 years and only needs to be completed once, regardless of the number of children attending the school or the amount of areas you volunteer in ( e.g. canteen + classroom).
Please download the forms below and bring them completed in to our office along with 100 points of ID . All documents need to be original and sighted by our office staff.
