NSW schools offer special religious education and special education in ethics. Approved providers deliver these, where available.
Write to the school if you wish to withdraw your child from special religious education, sometimes known as scripture. Special education in ethics is an option for your primary-age child if you withdraw them from special religious education. For more information, visit Religion and ethics.
Religious Education and Ethics classes are provided at Curl Curl North Public School during school time by authorised representatives of approved religious groups for instruction in that faith. Scripture classes are currently provided for Roman Catholic, Combined Protestant (for students of Anglican, Uniting, Presbyterian and Baptist denominations) and the Baha’i faith. Ethics classes are offered based on the number of Ethics teachers available.
Current Providers are listed below and you can access their curriculum details by clicking on their name below.
Non-scripture students will be supervised in the school hall for those whose parents have elected for their child not to attend scripture classes. Students in year K-2 read books or can participate in art activites. Students in year 3-6 can complete class work or read quietly.
