Facilities and resources
Our school offers a range of spaces, tools and resources to support student learning. Whether it’s for study, sport, creativity or technology, our learning environments and resources give students what they need to succeed.
Our school facilities
We offer a range of learning environments. They help students stay engaged, build confidence and enjoy every part of their school day. Our facilities include:
- spacious classrooms designed with flexible furniture and adaptable layouts. These classrooms support a variety of learning styles, allowing students to work independently, in pairs, or in collaborative groups, fostering creativity and critical thinking.
- shared collaborative classroom spaces that include a dedicated wet area. This versatile space provides excellent opportunities for a wide range of learning activities, such as science experiments and visual art lessons. The wet area supports hands-on, practical experiences, encouraging creativity, exploration, and active engagement in learning across different subjects.
- the large school hall, with its elegant timber floors, serves as a central gathering space for whole school assemblies. It comfortably accommodates students, staff, and parents, creating a welcoming environment for community events and celebrations.
- two Futsal fields located on the northern side of the playground. These fields provide excellent opportunities for students to engage in physical exercise, develop teamwork skills, and enjoy competitive sports in a safe environment.
- extensive playground areas that offer both passive and active play options. The playground is designed to encourage physical activity, social interaction, and imaginative play, contributing to the overall wellbeing of students. There are two separate play equipment zones tailored for different age groups. This ensures that younger and older students have age-appropriate and safe play structures, promoting physical development and enjoyment.
- an undercover sports court that allows students to play basketball, netball, and other games regardless of the weather. This covered space ensures that physical activity and sports can continue even on rainy days, promoting consistent exercise and teamwork. It provides a safe and comfortable area for students to stay active, develop their skills, and enjoy healthy competition throughout the year.
- a well-stocked library that serves as a vibrant hub for reading and research. The library offers a diverse collection of books and digital resources that cater to all age groups and interests. It provides a quiet and inviting space where students can develop their literacy skills, explore new ideas, and conduct research for their studies. The supportive environment encourages a love of reading and lifelong learning, enhancing students’ academic success and curiosity.
-
a vegetable garden and chicken coop which provide hands-on learning experiences about sustainability, responsibility, and the natural world. These facilities encourage students to connect with nature and understand the importance of healthy eating and environmental stewardship.
-
an open learning space dedicated to specialist programs such as music. This versatile area fosters creativity and skill development, allowing students to explore their interests in a supportive and resource-rich environment.
Together, these facilities create a dynamic and nurturing learning environment that supports the academic, physical, social, and emotional growth of every student at Curl Curl North Public School.
